In 2009, our founder Daniel Hughes set out to start a LEGO robotics team for his son, Aidan. The group began with just three kids around his dining room table and quickly grew to about a dozen students from the local school. After a year or two of running evening programs and FIRST LEGO League teams, Dan expanded into hosting after-school programs in his hometown of Goffstown, New Hampshire.

By 2012, Daniel reached out to schools across the state, establishing in-school and after-school robotics and LEGO building activities in several districts. These programs thrived for several years, setting the stage for our expansion into VEX Robotics.

In 2018, team Splatforce was born under our new brand name, RIZE Robotics, to compete in the VEX IQ / RECF program. Splatforce went on to win back-to-back NH Excellence Awards and represented New Hampshire at the RECF World Championship.

Since then, RIZE has opened the REC Center in Manchester, NH - a place where students from anywhere can come to learn robotics, coding, web design, podcasting, 3D printing, and other hands-on STEM disciplines. The REC Center is also home to our Enhanced Education program, which offers non-traditional students access to high-quality Science and World Language education.
